About Us

The Mission of The Counseling Connection is to nurture the mental health and psychological well being of individuals and families by providing the highest quality counseling, therapy, education and advocacy available throughout West Virginia.

The Counseling Connection is a 501(c)(3) certified non-profit organization based out of Charleston, West Virginia. Our primary function as an organization is to continually provide the highest level of care to each and every client we serve by employing the very best, most qualified professionals. We are very proud to offer our clients a complement of exceptional therapists/staff that are highly skilled and trained in the treatment of a variety of theoretical techniques.

The Counseling Connection operates three primary programs in various office locations throughout West Virginia and serves approximately 3,000 individuals each year. In addition to our Out Patient mental health program, we also operate the REACH Program (Rape Education Counseling and Healing) which is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week rape crisis /sexual assault, advocacy, education and prevention program all designed to assist victims of rape/sexual assault.

The FACS Program (Forensic Assessment and Counseling Services) is an outpatient treatment program for adult sexual offenders. This program utilizes intensive group and individual therapy in a community- based setting and works very closely with the West Virginia court system, probation and parole.

Payment:
We accept most insurances, WV Medicaid and offer a sliding fee scale and no cost therapy to those that qualify.
